Question 1

What types of remodeling projects do you handle?

Accepted Answer

We focus on larger custom home remodeling work across Boulder and Boulder County: whole-home renovations, main-level and lower-level reconfigurations, major additions and pop-tops, and full interior rebuilds. Kitchens, baths, and living spaces are remodeled inside that larger scope rather than as stand-alone jobs. Every project is tailored to your home, your plans, and how you actually live.

Question 2

Do you offer design services?

Accepted Answer

We do not provide in-house design services, but we frequently collaborate with a network of talented designers and architects. If you already have a designer, great—we'll work with their plans. If not, we're happy to recommend trusted local professionals to help you complete the vision before we begin construction.

Question 3

Can you work with plans from my architect or designer?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. Elton R Construction works directly from your existing architectural plans or interior design layouts. Our role is to bring those plans to life with expert craftsmanship, clear timelines, and a strong focus on client communication.

Question 4

What's the typical timeline for a remodel?

Accepted Answer

Timelines depend on scope. A single-level remodel often runs 3–6 months, while whole-home remodels and major additions commonly run 6–12 months from permit to final walkthrough. Once we review your plans, we give you a realistic schedule so you know what to expect.

Question 5

Are you licensed and insured for remodeling in Boulder?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we are fully licensed and insured in the state of Colorado. Homeowners in Boulder trust Elton R Construction because we follow all city building codes and deliver work that passes inspection the first time—backed by years of experience.

Question 6

What's the average cost of a custom remodel in Boulder?

Accepted Answer

Cost depends on square footage, materials, and complexity. Whole-home remodels in Boulder regularly reach six figures. We provide clear, line-item estimates and work with your design team to align scope with budget before construction begins.

Question 7

Do I need permits for my remodeling project?

Accepted Answer

Most remodeling projects do require permits—especially if they involve plumbing, electrical, or structural changes. Elton R Construction manages the entire permitting process, ensuring a smooth and compliant build from start to finish.

Question 8

Will I need to move out during construction?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the project. For work confined to one area of the house you can often stay put, but for whole-home remodels and projects that take the main kitchen or primary bath offline, temporary relocation is usually the better experience. We'll give you a straight answer based on your scope and schedule.

Question 9

What sets Elton R Construction apart from other remodelers?

Accepted Answer

We're a Boulder general contractor built around larger, high-end residential work: clear communication, meticulous craftsmanship, and a documented process from estimate to punch list. We collaborate with leading architects and designers so the finished home reflects the design intent—without surprises or drifting schedules.

Question 10

How do I get started?

Accepted Answer

If you have plans ready, reach out for a free consultation. If you're still in the design phase, we're happy to connect you with trusted local architects and interior designers. Elton R Construction is here to build the home you've been dreaming of—beautifully and professionally.
